Plan To Have An Extraordinary Christmas

Dec 5, 2011

It’s all too easy to miss Christmas. Yes, we can become so caught up in the activities, the endless list of necessary tasks, the programs and get togethers, the shopping and cooking, etc. And before you know it, it’s December 26th. All over. And Christmas is just a memory until the next year.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. No, I long for you to experience a Christmas like you have never had before. My prayer is that your heart will be flooded with joy and gladness as you draw close to His Love and make choices that will increase your Christmas joy.

Without planning to truly experience Christmas this year, one can  easily become like the Innkeeper in Luke 2 who had no room in his inn.

This year

  1. Take some time each day to be still. Sit by your Christmas tree and focus on the wonder of His coming and what that means.
  2. Be intentional about your activities. Do the activities that will increase your Christmas joy. Plan your Christmas experience with a vision of having one that is overflowing with life and love and laughter. Purpose within yourself to hold on to your Christmas experience. Refuse to give it away.
  3. Receive the Gift within yourself and then be that gift to another. Silently, quietly, touch your family, friend and world with the wonder of a Love that is beyond all words to describe. As you move out to shine a light in your dark world you will experience the wonder of true  Christmas joy.

 How about it?

Make a plan to really experience Christmas this year. Don’t settle for anything less than that.
