Success and Sleep

Oct 25, 2011

Many folks today are sleep deprived.  Instead of getting the recommended 7-8 hours of sleep they drag through life averaging 6 or less hours each night. As a result they are prone to moodiness, more accidents and memory loss. Links have been found between sleep deprivation and weight gain, high blood pressure, irregular heart beat and disease.

So what, you might say.

Well if you long to become successful and to live life to its fullest, it is important that you make sure that you are getting enough sleep.

It’s a choice.

I like staying up late, reading, talking with my girls. I really enjoy a good movie. It would be so easy to write through the night. But morning comes early in our house. School and work sets the pace. What about you?

Small changes make a big difference. Try going to bed 15 minutes earlier at first. As you get used to that increase it. Your body will notice the difference. Naps also have been found to be helpful in meeting the body’s need for adequate sleep.

Increasing your energy can be done.

Begin by taking a look at your sleep habits. You might just discover something seemingly small that you can change. Today.

It’s a wise choice that will have big dividends.

‘Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.’ (I Cor 6:9)

Tap into His Energy and you’ll see the difference.
